i never knew choosing a plane seat could be so hard! having never been on an international flight, i originally booked a middle seat in an empty area for the pure reson of a chance that nobdy would want to sit in the same row thus giving me plenty of space. after conversing with people i've learned otherwise. my original location of the back of the plane was unwise as apparently it's noisy (engines). i was told the best seats are by the emergency exits (of course, not available). as i already knew that wing seats are the most stable part of the plane (helps if you get motion sickness which i may be prone to) and having no desire to sit near a window (i find it uncomfortable) i changed my seat and picked a middle isle. on the end as it was pointed out that if a couple sits next to me, the middle will choose to disturb thier partner rather than a stranger.
on the way there i'll be sitting near the galley. my logic? more leg room. however, this may prove to be folly as the bathrooms may be located in this area/noise factor from the crew. any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
finally sent the passport. cost $12 to send it express post. it took two days for the tracking number to show that it's still in the edmonton post office where it was dropped off. guess it doesn't matter..as long as it gets there eh?
almost threw away my travel insurance papers today. i thought it was another credit card offer.
savings toward trip: 19%
