We hit the road in convoy with DABUS & DABUS2 and Fred, heading to Mansfield for our first night stopover. Arriving just in time to enjoy dinner with the Desmond family and a great night enjoying their company. Before leaving Mansfield, Ivy ensured we were loaded up with vension burgers, vension kranskies and her homemade tomato sauce and pumpkin soup.

After a short drive onto Winton Raceway, we queued up to enter the camping area at the Racetrack. This is our first time camping at this site. Once set up we went for a wonder around the track. It's an impressive track, as you have so many great vantage points. Here we camped up for four days and enjoyed the racing and atmosphere both on track and in the campground. The weather of Friday was drizzling, we woke to a foggy morning on Saturday and Sunday was the best day, weatherwise. Our campfire was going all day, as the weather was quite cool. It is definitely on our list to do again next year.
