After 20km of bitumen from Gascoyne Junction (GJ), we are travelling over gravel road following the Wool Wagon Pathway and we have approximately 1400km of gravel to get back to Norseman. Monday morning we arrived back in Carnarvon and the first stop was the Laundromat, one load of washing, popped it in the dryer and headed into IGA and a caravan supply shop. Got some great meat bargains in IGA and a new sink plug, as one was thrown out into a fire with veggie scraps. No sooner had we hit the highway, after leaving our great camp beside the Robe River, we were pulling into a mining site picnic area, less than ten kilometres down the road. We have enjoyed four days soaking up the sunshine at 40 mile beach. Enjoying beach walks and generally just chilling out. One night we cooked up a Beef & Beer Cobbler and at first we thought it was going to be really bland, but after spending the time to reduce it, it was a very tasty and stunning meal.
