Our overnight train arrived back in Hanoi at 5.30 am, so we walked around to Jaspers for breakfast. We walked back to hotel, Mark, Pearl and Taylor took a taxi back, it was already stinking hot by the time we finished breakfast and the streets were so busy... We enjoyed sitting on a park bench around Hoan Kiem Lake watching the locals dancing, this was about 8 in the morning. After a pleasant sleep on the train we arrived at Lao Cai Station at 6.30am, where we walked across to a cafe, enjoyed a coffee before jumping on a bus to Sa Pa. The bus trip took about one hour. On arrival to the Cat Cat View Hotel, our rooms were available, so we could check in, freshen up and have breakfast before going into the town for a look around.In town, we were soon joined by a red Dao woman who was happy to chat and follow us everywhere, no sooner did ...

We arrived at Noi Bai Airport at Hanoi and thankfully we had arranged a car from the hotel to pick us up. We had decided that due to a lengthy stop over at Changi Airport, that we would have a two day stopover and have a look around Singapore.On arriving at the airport, we purchased The Singapore Tourist Pass, that gave us unlimited access to the rail and bus system.
