Before arriving in Alice, we went to the national truck and train museum. Alan relived childhood memories of being on the old chan. We then found Lamattina truck posters for sale at the truck museum. Alice was an eye opener for Lorelle, no cask wine for sale, so stocked up of bottles. Police officers guarded bottle shop entries. Looked like tourists as the shopping trolley wheels locked as we tried to take it out of the car park to the bus, then had to carry shop...

 Left our camp, still no wind but light drizzle. Easy drive and stopped at NT border. Pulled into Finke river rest area 125km south of Alice Springs. Caught up on some washing, with our manual $8 washing machine before looking for our first lot of shade for happy hour, as now sunny and about 28 degrees.

Wake up at Spuds Roadhouse, Pimba to rain. They hadn't had any rain since January, so it was a wet trip heading north to Coober Pedy to fuel up. Pulled in for the night at a free camp Mathesons Bore. 

Left World's End, stopping at Port Augusta for supplies, wine and food, then headed up the Stuart Highway and pulled into Pimba, Spud's Roadhouse with about 25 other caravans. Still easy day driving, no wind and sharing the driving.

Second day on the road had morning tea by the Murray River at Loxton before restocking the veggies that we had to hand over at the Quarantine Station, caught the ferry across the Murray River at Cadel SA before stopping for the night at World's End near Burra. Fantastic campsite, great facilities and no phone reception.
