Once again I've been negligent with updating my blog, and once again I'm sitting on a plane to somewhere else- this time Japan. This is yet another odd flight in that it's the first truly budget flight I've ever taken, the sort where you have to pay to bring luggage or eat, but what I've found the most odd is that they don't even provide cups of water without payment! Sheesh, it looks like I'll be searching for water and coffee before leaving the airport in Osaka.
When I left off I was on a plane to Seoul to visit friends. What a wonderful reprieve from work in China. It was great to see Trevor and Estelle and see where and how they live. Their neighbourhood is lots of fun and they showed us around the city and fed us incredibly well. It was also lovely to be able to introduce Ola to two of my friends that she otherwise wouldn't have gotten to meet for a few years. There's not much more to say. We saw a palace, bought a ring and ate Korean BBQ, which is so amazing that I may actually have to go back to Korea just for the food!
Update: I'm now on the shuttle bus to the hotel in Osaka and remain dehydrated and under-caffeinated.
