On Sunday our hosts brought a wonderful breakfast of fruit, cereal, croissants, and coffee to our room at 9am. We headed out around 10:30, and caught a double-decker open-top tour bus near the Marble Arch at 11am. We stayed on the bus for an hour or so, getting a good overview of the city. We hopped off at the Tower of London, and checked out the Tower Bridge and the area along the Thames near there. We then took a boat ride back down the Thames to Westminster Bridge, and walked to a touristy restaurant near there. $40 for a light lunch (a sandwich, fish and chips, and two cokes)! Then we walked along the Embankment to Somerset House, where we visited a gallery exhibit on Fashion & Architecture, called Skin & Bones. We both really enjoyed it, Shannon more for the fashion, and me for the architecture. Next we took a "flight" on the London Eye. It was 30 hot minutes of really spectacular views. After the Eye, we layed around in the park for an hour waiting for my friends David and Lori, who took us to a great Indian food restaurant for dinner. After nearly 12 hours of running around, we finally made it back to our apartment by 9pm.
