This morning we woke up early again, packed up our things, had breakfast in our hotel and headed to the Pier Cafe boat dock to jump on the speed boat and head up to Cambodia. The boat trip took an hour and a half roughly before we reached the Cambodian border where we had time to relax, get some food and collected our passports. We then carried on our boat ride for another 3 and half hours before we got to Phnom Penh. We headed off the boat and to the restaurant to try our first lot of Cambodian food. It was a bit different to Vietnamese food but still very good! We then carried on our journey to the hotel in Phnom Penh where we checked in. On the way to the hotel our tour guide Keam gave us a bit of the run down about the history of Cambodia and some stories he had himself about the hard time in this country. After we had found our rooms and settled in we then headed out to the Psar Tuol Thom Pong Russian markets where we all had a ball of a time and shopped up more than we could take home! By then it was around 6pm when we got a wee lesson about how Cambodia works then set off for free time for the night, time to explore and relax and get a taste of the Cambodian culture, and mentally prepare ourselves for the things we were going to see tomorrow.
