Well, we can say we visited Devil's Island. The Island we visited was actually Ile Royale, which is one of three islands known as the Salvation Islands. The penal colony was on Ile Royale, the other two are Devil's Island and Ile St. Joseph. Mostly derelict buildings. Were able to see some of the cells (about 4X6 with no window opening). Hot and humid. Tendered to the island and spent about an hour walking.
