Hey folks,
Ive now left Adelaide, but im writing a 'great ocean road blog' anyway. I did a 3 day tour from Melbourne to Adelaide, where by I saw the famous apoloses, we also got the see the apololes at sunset which was cool. I also took a helicopter ride with 2 other girls over the apolosles, which was amazing! We also stopped at various beaches along the the coastline, as well as stopping at 'Bells Beach'. There's a rip curl surf comp that is held every March at that beach. The hostel we stayed in was right on a quiet beach and only 5 mins drive from the apolosles.
The following morning we went to the beach, saw london bridge, drove several miles and did a 4k (up & down) hike in the sun - roasting and exhausting. The hostel that night was ok, but seeing wild kangeroos beside the cricket pitch as the locals played a game was worth it. We then went to see a waterfall followed by a solid day of driving to Adelaide - joys!
The people in my group consisted of: 6 german,1 isralie, 6 bristish & 1 Aussie (driver). A nice bunch, I ended up staying with 3 english girls and 1 isralie in adelaide, which was fun.
Adelaide itself is fairly quiet and very small in comparison to Melbourne/Sydney. We also visited a local pub known as 'the Exeter Hotel' - yes i got a picture as proof lol.
I then got a express bus tour up to Alice Springs..on the next blog. cya cx
