Hey Folks,
Update the journal time...currently in Franz Josef down in the South Island. It is Freezing!! Ive just spent 2 days in Abel Tasman on a farm for 2 night surrounded by Chickens, ducks, ponies, sheep and Larmas (aka Shamels - don't ask!)
Arrived that evening from Wellington to go to the old fat tui's cafe with a huge and really good fresh fish n chips of $7! Spent the day walking along the stunning coastline of the national park past pretty beaches to Archorage bay to meet a catamorang to sail back to the other bay 3 hours later - seeing seals, split apple rock, sparkly water and glorious sunshine.
Then it was back on the bus to a remote settlement of houses called 'Barrytown'on the rugged west coast which consists of 1 pub and 3 houses. That evening we all dressed up in bin bags for the 'Bags n Rags Ball' where we had to dress up in outfits using bin bags. I went as a black olive - so funny. haha..Good fun all round.
Ive now got 2 nights at franz Josef before i hit some random town before getting off at Wanaka for a week. Bring on the ice picks, stunning lakes, bungy jumps and being freezing cold with red noses!
Hope all is well and dandy. take care all love Charlie xxxx
