Today is the start of the Normanton Annual show and rodeo. This is a 3 day event that stops the shire. It starts on the Thursday afternoon with the themed parade through the main street. This year the theme was superheros. For such a small population they were great. The kids in the parade were so happy with their costumes they were worn repeatedly during the following days. We had a look at Krys the croc before we left for Karumba. A very large statue of him is in Normanton. and everyone visits him here. There's quite a story to him.
