Sunny morning so set ourselves up by the pool down near the beach. In and out of the water until dark clouds loomed so we packed up our gear and moved to the pool bar and from there watched an amazing tropical downpour for over an hour. Of course being trapped there we became very conscious of our fluid levels so had 3 cocktails each to get us through. When the rain eased we went back to the room, dried off and headed along the beach for lunch - great pad Thai and prawn spring rolls - then Virginia had a 1 hour massage and Alan developed a relationship with large bottles of Chang beer. Needless to say an afternoon sleep was in order before heading out to the beach again for dinner. Never before eaten so much fresh flavorsome well balanced Thai food and all in little brush huts or out in the open on the beach 10 meters from the sea and on the edge of tropical jungle.
