Last day today and even though we have had a fantastic trip we are ready to be home to catch up with family and friends. Don't have to check out till 2pm and that is when we are being picked up to go to Phuket airport. So one last day by the pool. We arrive in Adelaide tomorrow (Monday) morning and then away with the thongs, shorts and tshirts and out with the jumpers, scarves and ugg boots I suppose - CRAP!!!!!! Sunny morning so set ourselves up by the pool down near the beach. In and out of the water until dark clouds loomed so we packed up our gear and moved to the pool bar and from there watched an amazing tropical downpour for over an hour. You guessed it another lazy day. Weather a bit brighter so we took the shuttle into Khao Lak village for a bit of retail therapy. We came to a bar before any shops so the retail therapy was delayed while we had cocktails (the best so far). Then Virginia managed to buy 3 dresses for next summer and we wandered some more then had spring rolls and peanut satays for lunch then a pair of shoes to complete the retail therapy. Lazy day again! After breakfast there were some students in teams having some sort of sports day on the beach so we pulled up a pool lounge to watch. Settled in next to the pool so in for a while then out for a while then swam to the pool bar for a cocktail.
