Lived it up here for two wonderful nights. We stayed at Kingfisher bay resort in a lovely 2 bed villa with a plentiful deck out the front perfect for BBQ dinners and lovely pots of tea in the morning. We all loved the gnarly tracks to 75 mile beach. Our Red Kamikaze was a champion. We cruised all the way up Indian heads, Champagne pools and another incredible view. On our way to Hervey Bay we called into Bundaberg. Saw the funniest road sign. Really wish Id taken a photo. It read Bundaberg (straight ahead) Winfield ( to the left)! We toured the rum distillery which was quite interesting. We saw lots of molasses, I loved the smell the girls thought it was weird, Mikayla thought it looked like chocolate but most definitely didn't taste of it! Tasted more like golden syrup. Agnes waters is a beautiful holiday spot. Our first surf beach in a very long while where we enjoyed a lazy afternoon boogie boarding and watching surfers riding waves. We drove round to 1770 for a bit of a nose. 1770 was the first place Captain Cook landed on the 24th of May 1770 hence its name. Kev and I had a cheeky beer over looking the beautiful bay at a very pretty little pub called "The Tree Bar" then fish and chips for tea. A beaut little stopover.

We have truly enjoyed the last ten months here on Hammo. The girls both settled into school well. Candeece was extremely lucky catching the cruise whitsunday ferry each morning to school and even luckier to see whales most afternoons during whale season. Well well well.....we fell in love with Airlie beach! And I mean fell as in literally. It all started whilst I decided a morning run was in order. Enjoying my run and the stunning views that surround Airlie, I lost my footing and FELL down a kerb rolling my ankle! Leaving me out of action for 6wks!
