Bonne de douche, been a crazy busy week traveling round some sweet places in Cambodia. I left the town Kep to head for Kampot where we stayed the night on the river in a hostel they had a nice little set up there with a decent bar and lovely food. We hit the ciders soon as we arrived about 2 then bout 5 o'clock we went out on a boat for a sunset cruise. We grabbed a load of bottles and chilled on the boat while he drove to a open area where you could see the sun go down over the mountains it was cool. Then we headed back later for more drinks and a laugh round the bar. We was lookin through the shot list there was some dodgy stuff on there, one was called a lady fart!? Some bird thort it would be a good idea to buy me a shot called the Hurts, which is a snort of tobasco sauce, shot of tequila and a lime in the eye ha it was brutal and I was on fire for the next 45 mins then I cooled down and was sweet, so I returned the favour to her but she bottled it and some other geezer done it for her and he took it as good as I did and blew up a treat ha. Then we heard there was a party down the road with a live band so we went there for the rest of the night had a boogie and more ciders then we got back to hostel at bout 2 where we had to be up for a 9 hour journey to Siam Reap at 6:30 so we was feeling like a bag of mouldy cheese when we woke, seemed a good idea at the time! We done a day tour round some quality ruins and temples in Siem Reap and one place we visited called Ta Prohm temples was the place where they filmed bits of the tomb raider movie with my ex Angelina Jolie there was some decent trees there that grew around the ruins I'll add photos on here but they prob don't do it no justice. The next day we done a waterfall where you could climb it and swim at the bottom, it was also in the tomb raider movie and the water fallin down was realy heavy and would pound your back and head. We done a bamboo train to some tiny village in the forest where a family have got a business making bricks. They earn $1.50 a day which will buy you a can of coke and a small water so it's a struggle round there for them. The tracks were bent and battered to crap to it was a spine beatin ride and when you meet another bamboo train on the track coming your way you all jump off, lift the bamboo base off and put it in the bush then lift the wheels off and let them by ha. When we was driving from Kampong Thom to Phnom Pehn we see a nasty bus crash where the bus was crushed to half it's size, no way driver would have made it out it was not good. The night we stayed at kampong we went for something to eat then after we went and had drinks in a little street market which was on the middle of the road and there were kids no older than 10 asking for money to pay for their school fees and get milk but they wernt spending it on that they were addicted to sniffin glue. It was about midnight and they were just wondering the street and the tour leader matey said to keep an eye on this little kid sat on the kirb and sure enough he pulled out some glue and was sniffing it to get high just to make his ruff life that little bit easier it was crazy to see. When we was driving from Siem Reap to Kampong Thom we stopped off to grab a drink and a toilet break and there was market there selling fried spiders and scorpions and loads of other lovely stuff, and there was a lot of street kids begging for money or trying to sell you fruit and they had live tarantulas on them and would walk past and rub against you and put them on you when you wernt payin attention and ask for a dollar basically bribing you ha the little gits. I went to the gun range yesterday it was mental. We took about an hours drive from our place into the middle of nowhere where they had mountains surrounding you and a load of army boys turn up in a pickup truck full of guns grenades rockets m60's the lot. They take about 20 mins unloading the pickup and setting all the guns up and loading them then they take you out to play with the big boys! My first one was the rocket launcher and because I was doin the RPG they had to bring a top dog who was apparently pretty high up in the army chain and he had to attend the shootout with them to supervise them and make sure it all went to plan, I had butterfly's while he was running through what to do haha. It was pretty heavy and I was told to brace meself as it gives a fair kick. As I fired the baby my ears where ringing and you could feel the heat instantly it was seriously powerful stuff it was quality. Next I done the ak47 and he shot a few out to make sure all was ok then handed it over to me, this baby had more kick than the rocket as you position it into your shoulder rather than on your shoulder so it gives a crackin kick. I done a few single shots then the army geezer switched it to auto ha and that was the dogs! You try to hold her steady but after a few seconds the power brings the gun up a tad, was a bangin day. Then we made our way back to the tour leaders family's house for a sesh and barby ha it was funny stuff. He invited all the family his nans grandads uncles nephews the lot there was bout 20 of them he invited to have a little gig with us to show his way of living and to say goodbye as it was our last night. We had loads of food cooked they dint stop cooking we had beef skewers squid clams shrimp and rice with a load of home made chilli sauce was superb. After a few hours feastin and neckin the tinnies his mum came back from a wedding down the road and she was steamin and thort it would be a good idea for us to gate crash a Cambodian wedding ha she grabbed by arm and marched me down the road shouting for the others to follow and when we got there she took me right to the front on the dance floor and as we was walking through the seated people they were all looking at us like who the jimmy blaze are you white people ha was a crease up. Then after a while one Cambodian bloke got up and took a photo of us whiteys on the dance floor which opened the gates to a stampede of them running up to film us and take photos with us ha. Then they handed out petals to throw at the bride and groom and one bloke gave me a can of silly string, silly man ha I got the the bride a treat she loved it I think. Then they had a slow dance for their first song and every now and then she just kept turning round and lookin at us like what are we doin here ha. Everyone was suited and booted and we had shorts and vests on, i had no money no honey written on my vest so I was dressed the part! After a few free beers and a boogie we went back to mateys family home had one more beer for the road then set back to our hostel. Today I'm off to Ho Chi Minh Vietnam it's a six seven hour drive so gunna get me head down, I'll add all me photies from the past week on here later when I'm settled in a place to stay, hope your all cushty back home, laters guitar hero.
