G'day from Oz everyone! were in Cairns now, our 4th day here, its going well, tho its so so hot! sorry the photos and blogs havent been updated in a while, internet is harder to find, and expensive here! Main thing we've done here is a flight around the great barrier reef, just us two and the pilot in this wee plane! it was really cool! other than that weve chilled out, and just booked a 3day cruise around the whitsunday islands in 2days time, so well get photos up wen we can!
No Gary we'll not be hitting any of the matches wen were here ,aint really our thing! we flew into Cairns and are now making our way down to sydney for xmas and NYE, weve 3 weeks to do the journey which is tight enough. so much to see and do but with limited time and budget were just having to pick a few main things to do along the way. Sorry to hear that about Jen, everyone says how easy it is to get work out here (we shall see soon) but Oz is so expensive in general so she would def need to have a bit of money saved. we feel so old here, we cant afford to drink, its about 6pounds a beer, and 10 roughly for cocktails! not to mention tours food accom etc! before u even get work. yea will def try skyping soon, think were 10 hours ahead at min, soon going to 11, so weekends are really prob the only time. speak soon!!

Hi guys
A singspore sling in Raffles! Definitely one to be savoured - hope you got a good photo of it!
Going to AUS will seem like a bit of a reverse culture shock for you now having spent 7+ weeks in Asia where most of the signs/languages etc were not decipherable. Can't remember what your travel plans are in AUS but are you going to try and get to see any of the Ashes matches while you are there? It woudl certainly make Mr Harris very jealous!
Jen's travel plans have gone to the wall now after I told her how much spending money she would need as a minimum. She had been told that she only needed about a grand up front as she could earn money in AUS but I think that would have been no where near enough for her.
Wishing you a safe trip on your next leg! Must catch up on Skype at some point - if we can manage to be online at the same time of course!
Take care
Gary

Gary - KL was awesome, a little more expensive but not too bad. Petronas towers are class - even more impressive in the skin - sorry!
We stopped in Melaka on the way to Singapore which is a small world heritage town - totally different to KL! Gettin ready to leave Singapore today for Australia, it has been one of our favourites so far but torrential rain one of the days and food poisoning on another have meantw we haven't been able to see as much of it as we would have liked but it gives us an excuse to come back sometime! Stopped by raffles for a drink - Laura had a singapore sling and I had a beer - £25 for both though so we just had the one and left!!!
Off to Australia tonight for the beginning of part 2 of the trip - lets hope there's more fun and less sickness down there!! Has Jen got anything sorted about her trip? Hope all well back home despite the snow!
Gary
Hi guys
OK - not only am I really annoyed that you are still able to wear t-shirts and shorts while we are suffering sub-zero temperatures, you now compound it by being able to walk the Sky Bridge between the Petronas towers and, even worse, you find a pub called "Rum Jungle"!! I likes a bit of the ole rum, me hearties!! (that was meant to sound like a pirate by the way!).
KL looks absolutely great and you both seem to be having an excellent time. It must be strange to get back to a big city again after all your travels to the back of beyond in Cambodia, Vietnam etc. However, I'm sure that you are finding prices a little higher in KL?
Still jealous, jealous, jealous but also still loving the updates. Where next? Raffles for a Singapore Sling? If you can afford it......!!

Photos & blogs are great, keep them coming.Glad to hear you're both back to full fitness, no more tablets to take. You both look like you're really enjoying yourselves again. All this sunbathing and cheap beer, its a hard job but someone has to do it, eh!!! ,

Hey everyone - in Langkawi at the minute, our first stop in Malaysia and it is paradse! Spent the day today driving around in our crappy little hire care and stopping off at waterfalls and beaches along the way - a stressfull Saturday really!
Phi Phi blog going up now along with photos of Ko Samui....hope everyone is well and on top of their Xmas shopping!!
Tory
More great photos, Phi phi looks class. We never got there because we went to DINO PARK also (I saw you photos and recognised it straight away) and I got the worst food poisoning of my life. I'm glad you survived it! x
Gary
Hi Laura and Craig
Love the photos of Phi Phi Don and Maya Beach! I so want to see those plankton lighting up the water. Think I'm right in saying you are now on your 7th week of your travels but it seems like you have been gone for ages. Must be due to the fact that you have packed so much in already.
Really surprised that you are both still standing and able to even focus on taking photos, given the size of those bucket drinks - think I would have been hungover for a week had I been drinking one of those! Ah the joys of being young!!
I echo everybody else's comments about being so jealous of you both, especially since I had to drive to work in freezing fog this morning - brrrrrr!! You might have forgotten the concept of going to work now though, so that last statement may not have registered with you at all!
Keep the updates rolling in - lovin' it!

Hi Guys
Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Hope you're feeling better Laura and I have to say, well done seeing it through not sure I would've been as brave. All the pics and blogs are great and sounds and looks that you really are having the experience of a lifetime and what a lot of people only dream about. Everything just looks fab, the beeches, the sights, the culture, so envious of you both.
Nice to see you working hard on the tan Craig and doing as well as I usually do (well if I'm honest doing better!) Where to next?
Looks like you've met loads of new friends, good for you, bet you both wish you'd done it sooner, or maybe not as it might be over by now.
Hope to get Skype sorted after Christmas as need to get an external hard drive for the laptop as it has too much on it and I'm not allowed Skypeon my work computer.
All well here, Rach is spending my money as quickly as always, Andrew is still 'blizzarding', David is working hard and trying to think of something rude for Miranda for secret santa (god lover her!!) and I'm just as normal, getting pressies etc sorted early and then forgetting where I put them!
Love to you both and get to chat soon xxxxx
Ursula
hello you pair! Photos are amazing! You've been so lucky with good accommodation, fab beaches and those cocktails look yummy!! Glad laura's on the mend. Youse certainly look the picture of health with those tans! So jealous! Here we are in the thick of winter and you're running about the sunshine in short leg trousers!! How cool being able to walk down the street only to be met by a baby elephant and monkeys on bicycles! And those tigers are amazin! Its not every day you get to wrestle a big cat. You've seen and done so much in only a few months. Looking forward to the next edition of photos.
p.s. still having nightmares about them there tarantulas!!
