We arrived in Ho Chi Minh/Saigon after a 7 hour bus journey!Craig was still not feeling well with a temperature and sore throat so the journey wasn't much fun.Arrived at hotel around tea time and straight to bed for Craig!Luckily we had a doctor on our trip so she came in to take a look at him and told him what to do which made him feel a bit better but still a night in bed - no seeing any of Ho Chi Minh tonight!!Thanks for all the help Imina!

Next morning Craig still feeling bad so decided to try and feel a bit better by getting a late check out at the hotel and staying put all day in the hotel room!No point in both of us missing all of Ho Chi Minh so Laura ventured out exploring.Went to French Colonial Post Office, the local market and the Vietnam/American war museum….all in torrential rain but got some great photos and bought a couple of cool souvenirs - woman could spend money anywhere!!

It's hard to imagine the traffic in the city unless you have been here but it is crazy.We had to be given a lesson upon arrival on how to cross the road believe it or not!If you wait for the traffic to stop you will be waiting all day said our guide so you basically venture into the traffic with your fingers crossed and hope for no impacts!There is a saying out here which translates along the lines of "the traffic will not stop for you but it will try to miss you"……little reassurance when you are standing in the middle of the road dodging motorbikes but it seems to be how its done out here!

Checked out of our hotel in the evening ahead of our overnight sleeper train to Nha Trang.Some of our tour group finished up in Ho Chi Minh so it was time to say goodbye to Almut and Imina and Peter and Bella - was great meeting you guys!The train was a first class cabin which was actually really comfortable with 2 sets of bunk style beds arranged in our private cabin!

Laura also not feeling great now which sucks so we were hoping for a good sleep on the train and to be feeling a bit better when we arrive in Nha Trang.
