Feliz Navidad
Tam: Christmas in Mexico was spent at a beautiful resort in Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay. We treated ourselves to a junior suite for xmas eve and xmas day. The resort had one main infinity pool overlooking the pacific ocean and a couple of other pools both with swim up bars. Although it is technically winter time, the pools were heated a little and in the sun, still felt like a summer's day. Needless to say we spent most of our time in the pools, sipping on long island ice teas and lethal lime margharitas.
In our suite, we (Coxy) made use of the kitchen and prepared a magnificient xmas eve dinner, salmon, veggies and a mexican inspired mash, washed down with ice cold corona and lime wedges. I sat snuggled amongst pillows and doonas in a huge king bed watching american xmas sitcoms. And later calling home for xmas.
Xmas day commenced at midnight with the exchanging of presents and I am happy to report that I did very well! Beautiful diamond earrings from my favourite town Guanajuato and a matching necklace from Coyoacan, Mexico city. Also sex and the city tour tickets for when I am in NYC! The grounds at the resort were immaculate, they had a flock of real pink flamingoes, black and white swans and as we walked around on our first day a hummingbird stopped and hovered right in front if us - unforgettable.
The rest of our stay was spent in old Mazatlan - an old colonial beach town. Rundown buildings meeting into small plazas lined with cafes and restaurants. Still being spoilt, Coxy treating us to a one bedroom apartment not far from the beach and main plaza. It was a wonderful xmas and we were ready to say goodbye to mexico.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
