Well hello from New Zealand!

We had a very easy flight over from Oz and the surf board came out without a scratch, which was a relief we did worry on the plane about not having them when we arrived in NZ!! Quite a funny story when we arrived in Sydney for our connecting flight chris strolled through and I was pulled into a small room and swabbed for explosives and patted down by a rather scary lady who was more like a man!! Chris laughed a lot watching as he said I looked shocked and guilty which I obviously was not!!

Miles very kindly picked us up from the airport at midnight local time in Wellington (otherwise known as the windy city as I discovered when we were trying to land my brother and Jossy would have hated the landing!!) We headed back to Miles and his girlfriend Georgies cottage for a good nights sleep after all of the days travels. The next day we did some general sight seeing and went for dinner in the evening. The following day we went to a mountain bike track Makara Peak and biked up a huge!! mountain for 3 hours it was soooooo beautiful, just how we imagined NZ to be just spectacular very lord of the rings! In the afternoon we headed to Georgies parents olive farm up the road which was beautiful and we were fed and watered there it was really nice to be welcomed and treated like family. In the morning we got to swim in there pool and then we went for a lovely walk at Otaki Gorge in the hills very pretty!

And that brings us up to date just now, we have booked a flat/cottage for new year just by CastlePoint and the Wairapapa it should be very nice, quiet and peaceful. We are also going to get a surf in we will see the new year in surfing a sweet wave man!! We may not have a phone reception at new year so I would like to say........ HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!!
