Hello Everyone hope you are all well?
Where do I start with what we have been up to?!?! We are in Queenstown at the moment and it is by far the best place we have been yet. We have been here for four days now and we are due to leave today. On the first day of arrival it was really heavy rain and we were thinking we were in for a grim time. The day after that we were hit with beautiful sun and it has held out ever since.
The first day here Chris and I headed up the gondola high up into the mountains. At the top we got to ride the Luge which was great fun. It is like a toboggan it was very fast and lots of fun. We went on twice and you went so fast. We have some photies which I have not put on yet but will get on to it, they are very funny. Also that day we walked around the town centre which is very beautiful especially down by the lake side as you can see from the photies. We were very lucky because when we got back to the campsite that day we made friends with our van neighbour Emma and Brad they were a really nice couple from Lincoln. So that night we went out for a couple of drinks and had a great time we even stayed up until 11pm which has not happened since October!! Ha ha!
Well the next day was your typical Queenstown day, Chris and I spent a whole 5 hours apart (the longest time since September!), he went and did a sky dive which was at 15000 feet. I was worried but he came back with a big old smile on his face. The photies are great and we will get them on in the next couple of days. I am pleased to say that I still have a husband, he said it was the bast thing he has ever done. I played it a bit safer, I went on a horse trek in a beautiful area not far from Glenorchy. It was an area that was used to film Lord of the Rings and the X Men. I loved it I had to trk through rivers on my horse and they got me to trot and canter, can I just say it was not the most graceful I seemed to be bouncing up and down like a fool and the others were naturals. Mind you I was the only beginner there, so I liked it but I have no plans for entering the Grand National as of yet, I will keep you posted. Later that day we headed to Cady Shack City with Emma and Brad. It was so much fun as you can see by the photos that I have put on. I of course came last but I feel that I have learnt a lot since the experience....1- Be patient.......2- A putter is for a gentle shot it is not a driver!!
The next day Chris and Brad had a boys day out they went mountain biking on some hard tracks. Emma and I did a more gentle track together, although it turned out to be a bit of a challenge I missed a few rocks by centimetres ooops. It was an active day so we finished it off with a nice barbie back at the camper van. Also Brad and Emma have a dvd player so we all squeezed into our van with a few wines and beers and watched Zoolander it was.......cosy! I have popped a photo of us in the van just to show how cosy it was. I think we may end up agrophobic on return as we will have been in the van for 7 weeks!
That brings us up to date we have just said goodbye to Brad and Emma and we have promised them a good old Geordie night out in the toon when we all get back.
Phew I am all worn out now after all of theis typing!
So on that note I will love you and leave you,
Frankiexxxxx and Chris the skydiverxx
