Hi!
It's not been long since I last blogged so this will be shorter than most chapters.
I last left you at the lagoon at Airlie Beach. On our final day there, we had to check out early and put our baggage into storage as we were catching the night coach to Agnes Water/Town of 1770. At the lagoon I heard some guy and his mate singing "oh when the spuuuuurs..." and when he was done I pointed and shouted Yido, Yido! Banter. We stayed at the lagoon for so long then went and had dinner, went for a 6k walk just to kill time etc and eventually our time came. 11:45pm was the coach and it arrived at our destination at 9:45am. We checked in and were supposed to have a tour explaining the two towns (they're pretty much the same but we'll never know) but the vehicle used for the tour had crashed and was getting fixed! The free tour was the only reason we even stopped in the town haha! So we went for a walk and climbed some rocks and found some secluded beaches and took loads of jumping pics then walked bk to the hostel Cool Bananas. That evening we watched a film, had pasta (that's all we eat) and played cards with 2 Scots sharing our room. Woke up this morning and caught the coach at 6:30am. I was awake so reached into my bag to grab my book and realised I must have left it on the overnight coach! Damnit! Had a little sleep then they put Pirates of the Caribbean on and at 12:25 we arrived at Rainbow Beach.
We hung around for a while and had a meeting about our 2 night Fraser island camping adventure due to commence tomorrow. Then we went down to the beach where Emilie chatted to our new Dutch friend while I played in the sand (yes, I am 7). The sun went in and the waves picked up and were massive! I had the urge to go in so I took my clothes off and ran in and swam some of the waves! They crashed down on me hard and this one was so big I was waiting for breath for a while until I got washed up onto shore! It was so fun!!! We walked to the shop to buy some goon (wine by the box than makes you act like a goon) and obtained a 4.4 litre bottle for $12! That's like nearly 6 bottles of wine for less than ten pounds! Bring on the trip!
Adios, amigos! Must go make some more pasta! Xxx
