Hello guys!

We are on the overnight coach to Sydney! Left at 11pm and is now half 8 am and we still have 4 hours to go!

So we arrived in Brisbane and didn't know where we were staying. We walked to a few hostels and got a good deal at Brisbane City Backpackers. We had a walk into town and looked at some shops...it was nice to be in a city! In the evening we met up with some fellow southbound travellers for some drinks!

The next day we walked around for ages taking in some of the sights and had an early night as we had to be up bright and early for our coach to Byron Bay!

We got to Byron Bay and went for a walk along the coast to the most easterly point on mainland Australia! Cool huh?!

Byron was a pretty cool, hippy town where everybody was just chilled! The next day we were supposed to be kayaking but the waves were too rough so was cancelled until the next day. We sat on the beach all day instead and got bodyboards to ride the waves with!

We woke up at 5:45am the following morning as Emilie was doing her skydive! It was cancelled in mission beach and Cairns but not this time! It stressed me out just thinking about jumping out of an airplane! I took photos of her landing and she was on such a high after it and wanted to do it again!!! Crazy! No thank you!

We got back to the hostel, checked out and hung around until being picked up for our kayaking. The trip wasn't very organised as we were with a group of about 20 Japanese people who couldn't speak English, couldn't swim and couldn't kayak! Nightmare start but once we got out at sea was good fun! We saw so many dolphins! They were just a few metres away and was lovely to just float away and watch them swim past.

We got back to the hostel and had a cheeky shower even though we weren't staying there any more and just hung around til 9 to get the courtesy bus into town. We got to town and I realised I'd left my towel drying at the hostel so I took the courtesy bus back and he dropped me into town again! Lovely people! We had pizza, got on the coach and slept! Bring on Sydney!
