So.. we left Graeme and Ivy in Karratha and were ready to' ride the dog' again. Another 22 hr ride on the Greyhound.. OR NOT!

So if you are regular readers you may have noticed that wherever we go rain follows! that is if it isnt a cyclone. ..so 4 hrs into our bus ride back to Perth we got delayed due to floods.. the lakes/rivers banks had burst and the roads were completely hidden with water, most closed! So this added.. wait for it... 7 HRS TO OUR JOURNEY!!

So ...29 hours after leaving Karratha we finally arrived at Perth Terminal.. grabbed a taxi and were back in Billabong hostel by 1am.. tired , stressed, upset and Lisa is stupid amounts of agony with her back.. time for a valium and bed.

We decided to give Perth another try as we had hated it before.. the sun was back! yay.. so we made our way on the FREE C.A.T bus that took us to Kings Park. Well to jacobs ladder.. which is a huge staircase.. hmm..so unfit we made it to the top breathing heavily and nearly breaking a sweat. and you know what, crazy nutters use this as a form of excercise! yes, running up and down jacobs ladder timing themselves as they go!

Eventually get to sit down at Kings Park which is when we realise what the fuss is about. BEAUTIFUL. ...we chill out in the sunshine and then walk further around the park encountering 3 different weddings on the way.. obviously a hot spot !

We got back to the hostel and Lisa had a txt from her mum saying "you have a letter , call home." well she had been waiting what felt like forever for her Maternity nurse qualification results.. this txt did not look too good.. Anyway when she finally got through to the house phone everyone started shouting that she had passed! GREAT!!!!! what a relief.. and guess what guys .. have to brag.. 60% pass rate.. Lisa the new geek got a whopping 97%.. GET IN! you can hear her scream!

The following day was spent in Fremantle. We got the train there and enjoyed the markets, marina and fish and chips in the evening as the sunset.. was lovely.. which is when we took back all our bad feeling toward Perth..teehee...

Our highlight in Perth was visiting the prison which closed down in 1991, but there is so much to say that we shall leave that for our next blog..
