We left Don Det by Boat to the main island then headed to the main island to pick up our mini bus this would take us to Paske where we had to catch a connecting bus to the Laos /?Thai border once we crossed the border we carried on to ubon ratachanie where we would catch the over night train to Bangkok.

Unfortunately there was no sleeper beds available so we had to travel 3rd class which basically meant sitting on hard seats for 12 hours with the locals which would prove to be a laugh.

We decided to buy some Sam Song whiskey to make the journey a little more pleasant so we bought 6 small bottles and coke that would last us till we was told to be quiet by the guards.

The train was not the most modern but who cared it was about the experience anyway. The journey got underway so the whiskey was cracked open the locals couldn't work us out they was actually talking photos of us??

The train slowly made its way across country so we sat around singing and joking till we was asked to be quiet, Myself and Paul decided to find somewhere to kip so we headed to the restaurant car and got our heads down with the local staff.

We managed to get some kip before the train rolled into bangkok at the station we booked our flight to Surathani where we would then catch a connecting boat to Kho Samui, the flight was over very quickly so we managed to grab the 4pm boat it took around 2 hours we eventually arrived in Koh samui, after 33 hours of travel.

I really hope the fall moon party will be worth it.....
