After a hell of a bus journey we headed to magnetic island on the ferry from townsville. WEather again wasnt too hot but that afternoon after checking in to our lodges (surrounded by many of australias wonderful wildlife!!) we went to the koala village which was on sight of our hostel. We touched a croc, held a massive bird, lizards, python and teri and phill got to hold a koala. Was pretty hands on!

The next day we headed out on soem walks-Teri and cat managed 3and a half hours on the hunt to see a wild koala and found 2!! Very pleased. Walked through an old world war 2 fort and round the coastline back to horseshoe bay (pictured). Phill and Jim caught the bus to arcadi and had a look round the shops and then went of walking for a few hours round to picnic bay.

Looks like a beautiful island and would love to go back in the sunshine or for a full moon party hehe
