We could not access the internet all day on our last full day in Orewa Beach. But it was mostly a work day anyway, as we used the time to pack and clean up the motorhome.

A cold front moved in and it was quite windy; the kite fishermen were happy. We saw some people in long boats doing a type of relay race; they must have been freezing in their swim suits.

On Tuesday we gave ourselves plenty of time to drive to and through Auckland and to the motorhome depot. We would have enjoyed a day in Auckland, but driving through the city in a campervan is difficult.

Our flight home was long. We were delayed awhile in San Francisco due to weather, but made it home fine.

Colorado has had a lot of snow and frigid temperatures while we were away. We were worried that the old pickup might not start, but it started first try. Most of the snow in the city has melted, but we still needed the 4 wheel drive to get up our driveway.

Skippy enjoyed his time with Denver, but we were so glad to see him!

New Zealand was a wonderful adventure for us. We saw some fabulous scenery and met some great people. I wish we could go again next year!
