Well we’ve made it safely to the busy over populated city of Bangkok. Everything went surprisingly smooth getting here and John experienced his first jumbo 747. We arrived to our accommodation about 5.30pm Thai time, we’re 6hours ahead and managed the time difference over a few dozen Chang beers.
We got setup an explored the city an walked through Khaosan Rd, took us 3 trips through it to get our heads around it. Everything you can think of was on offer even a fish foot massage, the locals quickly picked up on the Bushmill’s accent by copying us with “what’s the crack” – this is summit you just gotta hear from a Thai person lol. Found some live music and quickly made a few friends with fellow travellers, the banter was good but we woke up today slightly fuzzy.lol
With our hangovers following us we set off to the Chao Phraya river for a look at some weird boats and even hopped on board for a trip down the river. John attempted some very different food – spicy prawn soup ended up killing his taste buds. I've 3 mozzy bites and a swallon foot later but all’s good with us.
Some really amazing sights around the city and heading out on a day trip tomorrow to the floating markets, stay tuned for the next post. Hope you enjoy the pic’s
