I was very excited today as we started our trip to the snow!!!!!! Woke up fairly early (okay it was 9) and packed my bag (I had everything out so it only took about 2minutes) but I had to pack my entire thermals (I checked the weather and tomorrow it's going to be -19degrees woohoo) otherwise I will freeze to death! We had to drive for about 3hours and in that time I didn't sleep (only for the part when we were on the highway) and then I got to see all the gorgeous mountains and pretty much everywhere you look there is a big castle. The people in Aosta speak Italian or French so there are all the street sings in French and Italian. When we arrived in Aosta, we found the place we are staying in (right in the center!!) and then unpacked and had a wander through the city, we went to some Christmas markets that were so gorgeous and in front of the Christmas markets is the ruins of ancient roman theatre which gets lit up buy purple lights during the evening. After the wander through the markets and the city, we went to get out skis and shoes and then the tickets (here it only costs about €38 a day to go skiing!!!) then we had a bit of a rest at home before heading out for dinner (I ate pasta for the energy I will need tomorrow!)
