Outback Adventure 2019
Day 3
Lake Benanee - Euston - Gol Gol - Mildura - Monash - Renmark - Worlds End (Burra)
We woke in the dark this morning at 7am! Must have been sleep in Saturday for the sun. Finally decided at about 7.30 to make an appearance. We rolled out of our campsite at 8.20 after breakfast heading for another driving day through 3 States.
We stopped briefly at Gol Gol to look at the money that sits in and around the Murray River in houseboats and houses lining the river. We then drove over the river into Victoria and Mildura where we fueled. From there we drove onto Monash where we stopped for lunch at the Monash Adventure Park which has lots of fun things for kids of all ages to do. Check out the photos!
After lunch we pushed onto Renmark. It was this leg between Monash and Renmark that we saw hundreds and hundreds of emus for kilometres at a time. I’ve never seen so many in such a vast area.
At Renmark we turned off towards Burra and our campsite tonight which is at Worlds End. We’ve camped here back in 2012 and it hasn’t changed much. There is a beautiful clear creek that runs just below our campsite which the kids loved playing around last trip. Huge big gum trees - some with hollowed out trunks also line the banks of the creek.
After we setup, Cayden and I decided to climb the mountain behind us that overlooks the site. A pretty vista was our reward for our effort.
The water in the creek was quite cold....but it didn’t stop us from having a dip to refresh ourselves after a few days on the road. A nice spot for a beer in the sun as well! Lana’s face tells you exactly how cold it was!
Spag Bol was on the menu for dinner tonight outside whilst the colors of the sunset faded to black
We drove 423 ks today across NSW, VIC and now SA.
Onto Pimba tomorrow with a side trip out to Woomera.

Scally Haha love the photo of Lana. Chris did you tell her the water was beautiful. She will soon learn that your beautiful is freezing cold! Good to see that Burra had water again for you. We camped on grass so very different looking. Maybe we camped in a different spot and our creek was dry
