Day 2
Hay - Euston - Mildura - Burra Gorge
"I got money in my pocket - a tiger in my tank and I'm king of the road again......"
We got up later than we planned today - the human alarm clock (Cayla) failed to awaken at her usual 6.30am! Lucky the back up alarm clock went off an hour later!
We got on the road just after 8am and drove through Hay, Balranald, Euston and stopped at Gol Gol by the Murray River for lunch. From there it was onto Mildura and then towards Burra.
We drove through 3 states today and covered 707 kms!
Today was just about driving! Kids were happy to get a run around at Burra Gorge in amongst the huge trees and flowing creek at our bush campsite for the night !! Our campsite is right by the creek at the foot of a mountain range where another beautiful sunny day set over.
Tomorrow we are heading towards Port Augusta and the start of the Nullarbor.
Saw 13 Emu's and 10 Kangaroos today.
Early start tomorrow which is a shame as Burra Gorge is a lovely campsite next to the running stream.
