Day 54
Darwin
"round and round, up and down, through the streets of your town. Everyday I make my way through the streets of your town....."
Today we played Darwin tourists - it was our last day here for a while and so we made the most of doing the sights.
We drove out to Stokes Wharf and the Fishermans wharf and out to Cullen Bay and had a good look around where the upper eschelon of Darwin live in their lock filled canals.
From there it was onto the Museum and then back out to the Leanyer Recreation Park which made the kids very happy. We had lunch there and spent a good few hours on the slides, in the pool and at the water park. It's got some competition opening up too on Saturday - pity we won't be around but there is a massive water park opening at Palmerston about 5 mins from where we are staying . It's got a huge 6 lane water slide that times you do you can race against each other, as well as a huge pool and water park - and it's free like Leanyer - so cool!
After being water parked out, we headed home to get ready to move along tomorrow morning.
We had dinner in Palmerston at the pub tonight - schnitzel night - which was nice.
Heading for Litchfield National Park tomorrow for more swimming action at the Buley Rockholes and Florence Falls which we loved last time we were here.
