Hey mum, that's great news about the volunteer work, let me know how it goes!
We have made it to the Byers house but not without an ordeal I can tell you! After calling them about 5 times, and leaving 4 message I never managed to speak to anyone. Uncle Joes phone appeared to be off(he's actually in Rio), so it took us 11 hours to reach them from Dallas airport. turns out, they don't answer the home phone I was calling, and they actually live on the outskirts of houston. So yesterday we took a plane, bus, train, bus, bus, and a ride from Roy to get there!!
I look forward to seeing some pics from Michelles wedding, and of course your adventures in thailand. We must talk soon as i know you have lots to tell me yes?! We'll make a date this weekend
Lots of love xxxxxxxxxx
At Home Mum
Glad u made to Wrightwood and that the racoon is still standing after your visit. I was just thinking about you so thought id check the blog just in case.
We got home late on Tuesday after spending the day with Ben and Chelsea and so yesterday I plucked up the courage to go back to Coventry and ask if they still required the services of a volunteer. Fortunately they do and I start properly on Thursday next week!
Im just off to see Diane and catch up on all the wedding news. I am expecting to hear more from you while you are in Texas as I know for a fact they have internet!!!!
Got to run now otherwise I shall be late for Tea and that would never do.
Looking forward to hearing from you and maybe even seeing you via skype shortly Love mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey dad, I can´t wait to hear about the adventures!
We`re still hoping our flight will be fine on friday. What we`ve heard is that people are not able to go into the terminal at all, and that everything is being done from tents!! Our major concern is that we are flying with lan chile and they are so over run by call, and the office has a queue around the block, that we`re fairly sure they`re going to of overbooked flights. Some airlines are putting on their own transportto the airport so they can check people in on the way, but we have no idea whats happening with ours yet! Hoping to still get there to see john and mary, but yes, san fran will have to wait.
The main city, concepcion is just devastated and the looting is out of control. It`s going to take a long time to come back from it. Here, there are still bits of building dropping off, but nothing too serious.
Lovely to hear from you dad, speak soon, lots of love xxx

I know mum, it´s pretty crazy disaster even for us! We´re lucky not to have been more affected. I think it´s up to 150 people dead, and plenty of structural damage going around. We´re hoping to be out this week which means we will just have to miss our trip to san fran. It´s disappointing as i know chris would love it,but we don´t want to miss john and mary, or have to change all of our flights as it would be a logistical nightmare now!
We´re in a lovely small hostel so last night an aussie couple managed to find an open shop and bought enough food for everyone to have a good old barbie. Weathers great so we´re enjoying the sun, could be worse places to get stuck basically!
Sal, hope to chat a bit later but chris is calling airlines then i´m going to get onto insurance. Miss you all, lots of love xxxxxxx

Well hello everybody! looks like this is the place to be at the moment. Tales of jungle treks, earthquakes and the like. Here in Pembroke we like to keep it all a bit more leisurely with fish and chips at the harbour! Enjoying hearing all the tales but very jealous. Toby gone off again now so wondering what to do this afternoon - think a wander to pick up the paper. Alien is 18 weeks old today and will probably measure around 10cm (although some books say bigger!).Anyway, I'm going to turn on skype in case anyone is around later. Lots of love xxxxxxxx
Mummy
WOW
Cant I leave you two alone for a minute without you getting into some scrape or another? Hope that your plans aren t delayed for too long as you ll get problems changing flights and things won t you?
Anyway im glad you are both ok and not too badly affected. We have had a leisurely morning by the pool before we start on our excursions tomorrow. Currently they are setting up the evening market so we are going to look around that.
Love mum xxxxxx

Wow wee! It sounds like you are having the most amazing time in thailand-absolutely incredible! I'm looking forwrd to hearing all about it, with pictures when we meet again in england!
I don't think you will be checking the news at any point, but in case you do, there was a massive earthquake in chile-but we are both ok (obviously!), but 78 people have died. It was insanely scary, but we weren't in the epicentre so there's not been as much damage caused in santiago. It does mean we probably won't be flying out tomorrow as the airports currently closed :-(
Anyway, keep enjoying yourselves, love you all and missing you, wish i could be in 2 places at once!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
