Sunday we drove down to LA for the meeting at the Verdugo Hills ecclesia. This is where Jonathan went to Sunday School as a little kid, and his grandparents and U. Bob and A. Shelley still go. It was a nice meeting, the order was different again to any meeting I've been to (not been to one in the US before) beginning with a seated prayer (the rest of the prayers are standing, including the memorials which is the same in Canada) and the memorial hymn before the emblems.
Not that many people recognised Jonathan (it had been 12years or more) but one person from his Sunday school class knew who he was as soon as they laid eyes on Silas!! Everybody thought all the boys looked like him. Almost everyone commented that he had come back with an Australian accent ;) he insists that it's only to the North American ear ;) haha.
Today (Monday) Jonathan and I both have colds, not surprising with all the sleep deprivation and craziness! The boys all slept throught for the WHOLE NIGHT which was delightful! Finally over the jetlag. The night before last we realised they were tired (not wide awake like jetlagged babies) and were just in the habit of getting up and getting attention! So we let them cry it out, something that was difficult earlier as Jason and Julie had been sleeping in the lounge! Jonathan's mom has been sleeping with earplugs so we just did it - and it seems it paid off. Long may it continue! ;)
Both Moses and Zeke are learning lots of new words at the moment. At last "down" and things like that are getting clearer! Now if they would just get the hang of drink...thirsty things that they are!
Today Jonathan took Silas to U. Bob's and they went up in the plane. Silas even had a fly! Of course he steered the way all kids do - fast left right left right - with the steering stick, so the plane tipped left right left right accordingly. Carl said he used the queens English to describe it as 'wobbly' :) It was such a novelty for a three year old!!!! He saw the famous Willow Springs Raceway from the air and "little houses."
Also we hit the playground again, to keep the boys sleeping through the night ;) That was enough for a Monday! Tomorrow begins our roadtrip North, with a few stops along the way...
Bye for now.
PS Daisy - we have some calcium for the boys, especially for the kids. Check out what form they come in in the photos ;) Mum - got new films today for the polaroid, the photos are hilarious, you'll get a great laugh x

Mum I knew the photos would be hilarious. I can just imagine. The best thing about it is the fact that you can have the laugh straight away. It will be fun watching him take photos back here with the other film (if the camera survives)!
