Hola from the land of pesos and cheap taco´s! We arrived over the mexican border yesterday after our special lovely 6.30am ferry from Caye Caulker. No later would do of course!! Thursday morning was lovely being able to wake up naturally, stroll to the local bakery for fresh buns,sit by the sea and have breakfast. A real treat not to have to pack your life away when it's still dark outside! Thursday morning also marked my very first snorkelling experience. For a girl who freezes when any sort of animal is within two feet of her and who is not particularly fond of being wet, I felt immensely proud swimming admist the coral reef and fish of the carribean.We did three dives, the first with our guide and then we were left off to raom and swim alittle on our own. What beautiful colours nature puts together and what a very calm sensation it is to float amidst them. I tried Yoga before i came away but snorkelling seems a quick and effective way to learn to ´focus on your breathing'! I was amazed that there wasn´t much coughing and spluttering, it was all just a really exciting experience. We had a barbeque on the beach for dinner and then tried out the local karoke. Some local keep hogging time with really random love songs that no-one had every heard off but we did do a group rendition of a couple of numbers but that seemed to horrify the locals more than anything!!

lots of travelling yesterday, unfortunetly minus our three lovely australian girls who left for Playa del Carmen before they fly back. We stayed overnight in a fairly deserted hotel but we were quite the picture this morning. 6 of us meet in front of the lake at 7.30 to do morning pilates..well a couple of stretches before a nice healthy breakfast. We got the bus to Tulum to go have a look at some more Mayan temples. Prepare yourself for more accounts of these next week as there are three more to go. The ones in tulum are quite different as they are situated overlooking the sea.. i think i liked Denvers comment the most ´this is where the Mayans must of come on holiday' !! I have lots of great photo's but I'll have to wait until i have alittle more time to upload them.

At 5 we catch a bus to Cancun. I am thinking of you all as i travel X
