Greetings from Vietnam! Its been a few days since I last wrote about what we have been up to. Its been a busy few days and so have never really got the chance. Anyways I think the last event I wrote about was the day we went to the killing fields.......Okay so my mind has just gone totally blank. AHA! I remember. The next morning, we took a long coach ride down the the beaches of Sihanoukville and stayed for two days in a beach hut. Which normally would have been nice but it peed down both days and so spent most of our time in our room or at the bar! So that was a dud to say the least!
After a wet couple of days, we took another long coach ride (approx 8hrs!) to Vietnam. The hotel was lovely and we spent the evening taking a motorbike ride up to a mountain to watch the sun set. It was amazing!!!!!!! Loved taking the bike rides especially to the mountain as I won out of everyone. The ride back was won by Ant which proves we are made for each other as we are both winners lol. I'm pretty sure the riders were treating it as a race too.
We only spent one night there and made our way to Saigon in the morning. To say it is a hetic city is more than an understatement. To cross the road, you just have to walk out in front of the traffic and hope that they dodge you. Its scary at first but then you just get used to it. Though I think i'm getting too used to it and may get slightly injured in Oz when I decide to cross the road without a care in the world! The hotel we stayed in was dump but we went out to celebrate our anniversay that night (managed to get free bar vests woo) and after a few bevvies, you don't notice as much.
The day after was spent going to the Vietcong tunnels where troops in the war would travel in tunnels etc etc. I didn't go in though as I have the guts of a chicken and didn't like he thought of being confined in such a tiny place with so many other people!
Sorry this must be so boring but i'm almost done!
That night we took the sleeper train which was actually quite nice and ended up where we are now, Nha Trang. Yesterday we spent the day on an empty beach and paid about a tenner for transport, drink and food all day. It was soo nice and I am finally getting a tan woo!!!!!!!
And finally....
We have just got back today from an Island with a water park and "rides" on. We had to take the apprarent "biggest cable car copntraption in the world" to get there and for me it was really scary as it was ssoooo high. But I got over it.
So that's the last few days in an egg shell..I mean nut shell. Or whatever shell you like, coconut?
We are now waiting to meet up to go on another sleeper train. Though this time, it would have already been slept on so may have to sleep in my towel!
Hope everyone is okay! Missing everyone soooo much. Woof to Baxter and ROAR to the Hulk (hope you haven't rusted too much). Mwah xxxx love you xxxxxxx
