Today I went on a half day trip up to a place called My Son (Me San) Apparently it is similar to Ankor Wat in Cambodia but on a much smaller scale, its got bomed a lot in the war so there isnt a lot left of it which is a shame as im sure that it was very beautiful in its day - i dont know whether it was just me though being a bad tourist but i got bored of looking at old bits of rock after about an hour...there is only so much i can take! so i have no idea what i am going to be like when i get to Ankor Wat - at least it has made me decide that a 1 day tour will be more than enough for me!

After My Son we drove for half a hour and caught a boat to a carpentry village called Kim Bong, we got to walk around and see the villagers making all sorts of beautiful carvings, paintings etc... there was a little child, maybe no more than 2-3 tapping away at a little boat (i dont think he was a fully trained carpenter though) we walked around here for about 30 mins and then got back on the boat which took us back to Hoi An old city, where I then booked a ticket for this evening to take me to Nha Trang, which is a sea side area where if the weather is good i should be able to lay on the beach with my book, swim in the sea and maybe even do some snorkling!

The bus leaves her at 7pm and even though it is not a sleeper bus, as long as i have 2 seats i should be ok, it takes 12 hours but as i have booked it through a travel agents, at least i know that it will not be as bad as my last journey!
