Today was awesome! We had a two hour drive to get to the site, which was next to this gorgeous river surrounded by the Andes mountains. The weather was beautiful all day, i´m finally starting to get a tan!
First we went white water rafting, i was pretty scared at first but we only did a Level 3 (out of 5 levels) so it wasnt that scary and the rapids werent too big. No one really wanted to get wet at first cos it was a bit cloudy and windy when we started but by the end everyone jumped in and was messing about in the river. The current was really strong so you could just lie back and let it pull you along! The people who run it have loads of dogs and the dogs swim in the river and jump in your rafts to go over the rapids, well sweet!
Then we had a big BBQ, Argentina is known for having the best steaks in South America (and some people say the world), they were sooooo juicy and tasty.
In the afternoon we did the canopy sliding which was brilliant! You slide down these zip lines attached to two mountains, you´re hundreds of feet in the air and the longest line is 450 metres! Its so amazing cos there are 9 lines to slide down altogether, and on the longest one the instructer attaches you to him so your legs are wrapped round his back and you´re basically lying face down, they call it the ´superman´, so it literally feels like you´re flying between the mountains over the river! It was great!
We leave at 6am tomorrow for two days travelling to get the the Iguassu falls so i´m off to bed now. After a shower anyway, the river water was pretty muddy...!
