Right, well we left KL after a very brief viewing and headed down to melaka, which is quite a big town about 2 hours from KL. when we walked into our accomodation i don't think anyone found it funny. prison block styley with no air con, but when me and jim were shown to our room it was actually pretty sweet. the place had a cute garden aswell. we were only there for one night so we went to a chinese night market to grab something to eat, ended up talking to a malaysian bloke for ages about how expensive alcohol is in malaysia and how we should have gone to bali! we also did a bit of shopping here as there wasn't loads else to do adn there was a sale on, i bought a belt (no dad, it wasn't a skirt, it was an actual belt) and jim bought some flip flops and a gorgeous shirt. we went with tom and catrin for lunch at a posh hotelk and had the best club sandwich ever, overriced but so worth it. i've also got into the habit of going to posh places to eat or ask the time just because i don't want to use a squat toilet, i'd prefer to hop into one of theirs! we left the following morning at about half 8 and had a manic taxi drive to the bus. we were about to have a 4 hour journey to singapore, but i'll let you know about singapore once we've done it all! x
