We're staying on Gili Trawangan and we're actually staying with a woman and her 2 kids. We have a nice enough room with bathroom and fan and she makes us breakfast every morning for 5.50 a night. There are 3 other rooms with 3 other girls staying in them. one of them is from Ballymena! The only other thing we could need might be a mosquito net as i am being eaten alive no matter how much repellent i put on. Don't worry though. We're taking our malaria tablets. Our room is quite near the village Mosque and as it is Ramadan you can hear the call to prayer all through the night. Sometimes there is no electricity and we have to make use of our torches but most places have wee generators so it doesnt mean we cant go out to eat or have a drink or anything. Last night we went to the cinema bar. You just have to buy a drink and they put movies on. There are also wee hut things on the beach where you can lie and watch whatever film you want all day if you like.
It's really lovely here. I've been walking round the island every morning when Darren has been doing his diving course. its supposed to be 8 kilometres but i dont think its that long, it takes me about 1 1/2 hours. We really like it here, dont want to leave coz there's no one torturing you to buy stuff all the time like in kuta and there are no cars etc. We're definately staying another week, maybe longer. We only stayed in Bali for 2 days but we're going back to see a bit more of it on the way back to airport. We fly out to Malaysia again on the 6th Oct. We're thinking about going to the cameron highlands but might just go straight to the perhentian islands. Havent decided yet, then it'll be on to thailand.
It's Darrens last dive today then he'll be quaified. I think he'll be glad not to have to study anymore. Well, if i've forgotten anything i'll let you know. Hope all is well with you all.
