Hi all. The journey went very smoothly after our drama with the flights in Bangkok. Found our B&B easily enough in Singapore. It was a really friendly place at the top of a tower block. You could see for miles, all across the docks and the city. We weren't actually there that long as our brilliant Singapore Airlines flight was at 7 so we had to be at the airport at 5am. We arrived back in Bangkok on Saturday morning early after a 11 hour bus journey. So Early that nothing was open yet and we had to take refuge in the 24 hour Subway shop from 4.30 until 7am. After that we went to a guesthouse recommended to us by some friends. Clean and cheap...perfect!! We had to wait another four hours for the room to come free though. So, We arrived in Chiang Mai at 6 o clock in the morning and found somewhere to stay quite quickly. We spent the first few days just relaxing and walking around the city. It was so nice. Really calm and clean compared to Bangkok and Phnom Penh. There is a big moat around the city centre and we started walking round it everyday - just like in Gili.
