Arrived at 3 after a 5hr bus journey.

Stayed at Koala's. The kitchen has no utensils & is a tip. You have to pay deposits to use plates, cutlery, pans etc. Never known anywhere like it. The room was a 6 bed mixed dorm & stunk of cheesy feet but we had our own bathroom. The place is basically outdoors but has a pool. Wouldn't stay again.

Weather was hot on arriving but had to book our Fraser Island & Whitsunday tours so didn't catch any sun. The next day was warm but overcast.

Went for a walk alonf the local lagoon.

Liked Airlie Beach.
