Gday mate's and a happy new 2008 to you all i hope you are all well missing you all loads!!!
Right i am going to finally try and write this blog its going to kill me as i have a major hangover and my head is swelling up by the minute and really feel like a mess and have the simpsons blaring in my ear holes next to me.....every little sound hurts....need more nurofen and water ha ha.... way to much wine yesterday for me as we celebrated the new year in by spending the whole day at the royal botanical gardens to see the massive amazing firework display at the sydney harbour bridge it was defientley the best way to see the new year 2008 in.....
right we arrived in sydney on the 22nd december just in time for xmas were we are staying at a really nice modern hostel called wake up which is really cool has a massive cool reception with loads internet access, cafe bar, night club called slide bar in the basement and two big tv rooms, and a room for just the four of us.
It took as all a while to settle in at australia as were all really missing thailand and the weather here wasn't to hot, we meet jenna's dad and louise and kids on 23rd at the darling harbour which was really lovely we got to play with the kids in the lovely park and jenna's dad treated to lunch at the chinese which beats beans on toast any day he he..
Sydney really does have everything its like you turn one corner you have china town full of chinese resteraunts and markets, then you have the beautiful darling harbour with loads beautiful water fountains and kids play area and fancy bars and resteraunts and shops, amazing boats in the marina with sky train going over the top and massive buildings everywhere a bit like the docklands. then you have city which is like the west end but so much cleaner, then u have the beautiful opera house and harbour bridge full of lovely seafood resteraunts and bars backing onto the pretty royal botanical gardens, with all the amaing boats and ferry flowing past the harbour it really is such a lovely place to be, you just could just sit in the bars at the harbour all day enjoying the beautiful views in the sun, but as i am a back packer i just have to walk past the bars boring!!! ha ha maybe next time when i have a rich husband he he.... since being in sydney we have been lucky enough to vist bondi beach, coogee beach and manly beach and summer bay (where they film home away) there are so many amazing beaches here with Aussie hunks everywhere in sight hmmmmm this is the life!!!!
Xmas eve we spent the night in our night club in the basement of our hostel we had a really good night and after many many amaretto & cokes we danced the night away and that night was weird being away from homr but after singing bonjovi down the phone to my dad and other songs going out to caron baby ha ha i felt much better!!!! Also really missed all my girls that night, oh yeah sorry for the drunk phone calls tel and lucy ha ha!!
xmas day was strange especially waking up in a bunk bed for starters ha ha felt about 5 years old, we all had hangovers and sat opened our presents we had all done secret santa so we would all have a present each and me and jen was also lucky enough to recieve little bag of goodies from our mum and dads which they had given to jenna's dad. me and claude sat there crying over our lovely cards from our mums cheers mum and dad it was lovely, i was really pleased mum still spoilt me and wasn't even at home she had wrapped me a lovely top, stella mcartney perfume, bobby brown make up, and new hair clips cheers mum what a ledgend!!! that day we was getting picked up at 12 to go to bondi beach with her hostel for xmas lunch in the beach house and a day on the beach. so off we went dying for a roast dinner all the way there and yep we ended up with literally a bit of ham and some salad and a crusty roll and rock hard xmas pudding yuk!!!! and a day on the beach with clouds everywhere grrrrrr...this wasn't how i imagined it ha ha anyway in the end we ended up having mcdy's as the ham roll just really didn't do it ha ha we was all cracking up sitting in mcdonlads in our summer dresses with our bikin's underneath ha ha who was we kidding after having enought the chilly weather we decided to get a cab back to the hostel and about 20 of us sat on the sofa's and watched rain man with tom cruise and guess what the blimming dvd cut out 30 minutes from the end ha ha what a joke!!!! by this time it was time to go bed and pray for a better day or at least a roast dinner for the next day....
Boxing day was boiling hot the sunshine was out in force and we got the bus stright down to coogee beach and it was lovely clear ocean and white sand and hunks in trunks everywhere oh yes bring it one we had a lovely day on the beach and that night even treated ourselfs to a nice meal out in the city (yesss no more beans on toast tonight)whoooo and then went to cinema to see p.s i love u(such a lovely film) kelly and claude moreless cried the hole way through...... so yes boxingf day defientley made up for xmas day
