Okay, so it has been a long time since I updated this, I've been a bit rubbish with trying to find an internet cafe but I have kept a diary so I can update you properly for once! Right so since last time I updated we stayed in Byron for quite a while during that time I really didn't do too much! Laura arrived on the 13th and uptil then I literally went on the beach or slept! Laura arrived and we both checked in to a little hostel called Aquarius it's only 100m from the beach which is lovely. our dorm is a little two storey place quite sweet except we opposite the toilet door which is a slidey door and one that doesn't work properly so it's way too loud! Someone nicked our food whilst we were here too :( it's annoying because you obviously have to leave some stuff in the fridge and without using chains you can't padlock it and for the sake of some jam etc it really doesn't seem worth the chains!

Oh yeah i saw my first snake on the 13th a small green one havn't looked it up yet but it didn't bite anyone so I guess things could have been much worse! Went to the cinema to watch 7pounds that new Will Smith one, it was really good but has totally put us off going in the sea anytime soon! Boxed Jellyfish not good! We spent the next day flitting between the shops and the beach and then got ready to go out and we had our first joint experience of Cheeky Monkey's. It's a cheap nasty club/bar, you dance on the tables and yeah although all the times i've gone in there there's never been one fight and you can't get shots or anything so it's actualyl controlled very well! We went via the pie shop on the way home, chips and kebabs are not the done thing after a night out here it's all about the pies so we both got one. Ahh the next day we went to Nimbin. It's a small little hippy town and very very different. If you google it I'll let you make up your own minds on what it's like nice for a few hours but we definatly wouldn't want to stay there any longer! Went back to Cheeky's tonight and saw one of the guys I went to Kangaroo Island with and 2people I met in Adelaide very strange how often you see people you met miles away! Spent the next day again just going from the beach to shops and vica versa. Started to talk about our plans for the rest of the coast aswell. The next day it rained a lot!! So didn't do too much continued planning and I decided after a visit to flightcentre I can't travel to New Zealand really don't have the money so i'll be home in April now. We left Aquarius the next day and went to the other end of Byron Bay and stayed in the Holiday Village you share your own apartment with two others but have your own tv, kitchen, sofa etc was nice to feel a bit more homely. We went to find a different beach today which is where all the hanggliders land that was cool. then we kinda went shopping again and I bought some tops but really baggy ones as it's too hot here to wear normal ones. Headed out into town in the evening to find that on a sunday everywhere shuts by 12 but still had a good night! Oh met a professional Aussie Rules player that said he could get us in a corporate box when we are in Perth if we wanted to see a match as he plays for them but I didn't meet him the next day when we were meant to and havn't heard from him since so doubt we'll be getting in the box! Ah we went sea kayaking the next day (19th jan) we both felt a bit ropey so maybe sea kayaking wasn't the best idea but too late! didn't see any dolphins thank god we saw no sharks and just saw a few turtles. the first time we went into shore we went so fast u kind of catch a wave and then just fly if you don't capsize. the second time we did capsize and i got stuck under the kayak head submerged.. not the best fun and lost my bracelet from Nimbin but overall a good experience! got some pictures but they are on my email so not sure how i can transfer them across without my usb pen. oh wait that all happened on the 21st... 20th we didnt do anything apart from on tv there was a news report from one of the beaches i had surfed on during surf camp and there was a great white circling another surf school!! OMG! but i'm safe so all good! ahh wait it was the 20th we kayaked i've wrote my dairy wrong.

21st jan is when we moved to Surfers Paradise think Benidorm a la Australia! didn't do too much there on the first night just walked around a lot and finally found a nice curry place $15 for a curry, rice and naan! that's good! It's so humid though! Hardly slept due to the heat we have one tiny fan and no air con not great! Went for breakfast at the pancake parlour they do an all you can eat challenge and as long as u eat 3 you get your moneys worth. These aren't little skinny pancakes though! so Laura managed 3 and was feeling horribly ill, me and this guy opposite us were both on four, finished that and i managed another he stopped at 4 I win! Feel quite sick though you can only have syrup and sugar on them still i defo got my moneys worth! Oh we have a tv so I've watched Neighbours all week and I know what happens to Zeke you probably don't even know something bad is going to happen but I know the outcome of their Xmas special haha Decided after a few days that we have much more time than we orignally thought so we are heading back to Byron Bay and then will coem back to Surfers so now I am in Byron and by the end of the week we will be back in Surfers. Oh in Surfers went to Infinity it's this light trip thing loads of different rooms all confusing you making things seem closer than they are and making it loko as though you are about to fall 10,000ft when actualyl you're stood on the floor but it was good although we had to hold hands throughout the blacked out bits!

Yes so now we are in Byron Bay will probs stay here for a few days going to try and get to the lighthouse tomorrow as we failed last time. Been trying to upload photos and it keeps failing on me, so there are some more on facebook and I will try and do this soon!
