Today's the day!! Off to the airport we headed in below zero temperatures at an ungodly hour (3 degrees and 7:30am if I'm to be less dramatic). After some final goodbyes the bedlam of Melbourne airport awaited us.

I guess the large number of lost looking Chinese people should have alerted us to the fact that something was amiss, it's hard to get lost at check in. We saw the departures board, air china 178, departing 10:35am, estimated 4am, clearly the board was broken, quite irresponsible on the airports behalf. Navigating our way through some serious trolley traffic we arrived at check in, finally a little excited!

And then it happened, a lady with impeccable hair broke the news, our plane was (is) still in Beijing. Hmmm, not ideal being we were to fly in 2 hours. We're Heading back
To the airport at 1am, hopefully our plane joins the party.

I think the moral of this story is simple. Listen to your girlfriend and fly Singapore airlines.
