So we have arrived in Chumpon were we will be teaching English for 1 month. Me, Anna and Dana are teaching in a school called Wat Hu Ror and Vicky and Rich are teaching in another school called Thai Rat. We are all staying in nice little bungalows really close to a beach. It’s a bit of a mission to our school but Pe Nong; some cool dude who is friends with Tong is giving us a lift every morning. I have a picture of this guy (Pe Nong) that you have got to see but I haven’t found anywhere with the facility to upload pics yet! Oh by the way, if you remember back to my first journal entry I said that Tong was a trendy young guy… when I wrote that I was thinking he was in his twenties. He is actually 37. He is on my pics, see if you think he looks that old.Chumpon has a town but its quite a way from were we are staying, so our days are just made up of going to the school to teach 3 or 4 lessons and then chilling by the beach and going out for tea. Good stuff although I think I might be bored and ready to move on by the end of our month here. At the school we are like celebrities, they are really pleased to have English speakers at the school, even the English teacher there struggles to put a sentence together so we have a hard job on our hands. This weekend we plan to go to Koh Tao, the Island closest to us. Some more volunteers have gone there so we’re going to see them and experience the apparently amazing beach and dive site!!
