Finally, our time in Perth has finally come to an end! We've both seen pretty much everything there is to see in and around the city, and very much in anticipation of moving on to somewhere different. Our flight today leaves at lunchtime, so I don't have much time to update you on the recent goings on of our last few days. We've basically spent our time gearing up for the Alice Springs - Uluru tour to commence on Saturday. We're both really excited about getting out into the bush and exploring (as well as camping, yeahhh!) so we confirmed our trip and sorted out our accomodation for the two nights either side of the trip, as well as a pickup from the airport. Liam then spent an entire day's budget on souvenirs from a brilliant little place near the Perth Mint, and Claire spent the same on books from Elizabeth bookshop. She could actually be a walking library now.
In the afternoon we were picked up from the hostel by Carol, Liam's aunt, and were taken back to her house for a last supper in Perth (and an excuse to get rid of loads of washing, hurrah!) We spent a good hour or so getting to know Kiara (see the little fluffy thing rolling around on the floor in the photos - the dog, not Claire) and chatting some more with the family. It was brilliant how much they catered for us - they even made us sarnies for the flight over tomorrow, and gave us a huge send off.
So tomorrow is our flight down. We're catching the bus to the airport, which should be interesting with our beasts of bags - wish us luck!
