G'day everyone! We have now moved further down the east coast of Australia to Airlie Beach. From here, we took a 4 day sailing trip to the beautiful Whitsunday Islands aboard a gorgeous old sail boat called Romance. This is a pic of us at Whitehaven Beach, which has the whitest sand in the world and stunning turquoise waters. It really was paradise on earth... definately the most beautiful place we have laid eyes on so far! We completed our open water diving course and so now we are certified scuba divers - yippee!!!! It was an incredible experience to swim through beautiful coral canyons with shoals of amazing fish, and see the surface of the water far, far above our heads. One evening, a mother and baby dolphin came and played around the boat for about 40 minutes, accompanied by two reef sharks. Don't worry, they're harmless, but were fantastic to see. Tonight we are off to Rockhampton, and from there we'll head on down to Fraser Island where we are doing a 3 day, 4-wheel-drive camping tour. Apparently, the island is made entirely of sand dunes... can't wait to get behind the wheel! Lots of love to you all, the sheilas xx
