G'day! Well, we made it to our second continent, Australasia, last week. It was sad to leave Asia behind and everything seems very expensive in comparison, but we are happy to have reached Westernised civilisation again! First we saw some hungry crocodiles and swam in beautiful waterfalls at Litchfield National Park near Darwin. Then we flew to Alice Springs and hired "Bruce", a little Toyota, and drove through the desert to Ayres Rock, The Olgas and King's Canyon. It was everything the guidebooks had promised - absolutely awesome!! Today we flew to Cairns where we have booked a trip out to The Great Barrier Reef for an introductory dive, and a trip into the rainforest to see the Millaa Millaa Falls, where the famous Timotei advert was filmed. Apparently they are stunning at this time of year. We've seen our first wallabies and a few dingoes. Looking forward to finding some kangaroos (other than road-kill... ) and throwing a few snags on the barby. More later..... Love, the girls xx
