Woke up this morning in agonyas our legs reminded us of yesterdays adventure!
We went to a museum in Hervey Bay, about a guy called Vic Hislop. Basically he kills sharks for fun and then tries to justify it by saying how evil sharks are! He actually says that one of the reasons he does it is to protect dolphins? We figure he must want to kill lions as well to save the wildebeast. We didn't take to this guy at all and felt he put a very biased argument across, and wouldn't reccomend anybody wasting their money on this guy's quest to kill all the great white sharks in the world!
We hit the road to the twin towns of Agnes Water and The Town of Seventeen Seventy. So called as Captain Cook arrived there in 1770. Here, we dropped Charlie off at a hostel and we went and found a campsite. We found quite a quietish one where we met 4 guys from Barnsley who are travelling down the coast! We joined them for a campfire then the 6 of us went to an even bigger campfire hosted by some Aussies. These guys had a huge fire and would regularly wander off in to the woods to get some more fire wood and come back with practically a full tree!
We had quite a bit of wine and taught the Aussies our peculiar northern English accents.
